When attempting to lose weight you must first be in a caloric deficit. Meaning you must burn more calories than you are consuming. You can perform weight lifting exercises, which are essential for muscular strength, as well as the strengthening of your bones, ligaments, and tendons as well. You can do cardio which is excellent for your cardiovascular system- lungs,heart, etc. The number one way to be on a caloric deficit, is to consume less foods which will put you on a CALORIC DEFICIT.
When you are on a caloric deficit the body will easily drop the weight as your body is no longer consuming the same amount of calories that was required to maintain your current weight.
By eating less, and without even exercising, your body will be FORCED to drop the weight. The only problem with this is that you will be very hungry if you don't know exactly what you're doing. In fact, if you don't know exactly what you're doing you could even slow the metabolism and not drop all that much weight as the body will go into "starvation mode."
